The ISU Mountaineering Club offers a full range of outings, from introductory rock climbing to technical alpine mountaineering. We take day and weekend trips to local climbing areas in the Midwest, and 4 or 5 extended trips to premier climbing and mountaineering areas per year. Our extended trips are usually during fall and spring breaks with one or two during the summer. All trips are organized and lead by student leaders that have met our leadership requirements. Over the past year we have had trips to Blue Mounds, Minnesota; Mississippi Palisades, Illinois; Taylors Falls, Minnesota; Long's Peak, Colorado; Sam's Throne, Arkansas; Backbone, Iowa; Devil's Tower, Wyoming; and the list goes on...
