Subject: Climbing Club Meeting Minutes 2/21/11

Hello everyone,

Here are the minutes from the meeting this evening:

-If you would like to come with the club to the climbing competition at UNI
this Saturday and have not already registered, please fill out the
registration form and send it in by tomorrow night and let me know you are
coming.  I will be submitting the trip to ISU for approval tomorrow night
and cannot make changes to it after that time.

-Sign-up will open for the spring break trip next Monday, and will remain
open until the Monday after that (March 7).  Let me know if you have any
questions about the spring break trip.

-Dues for the semester are $25, and help the club to buy gear, fund trips,
and provide everyone with the opportunity to try climbing without having to
buy all of their own equipment. If you think you're going to continue coming
to meetings or be involved with the club's trips and events, we would
greatly appreciate if you would pay dues in the next few weeks.  Dues can be
paid in cash or by checks made out to ISU MCC.

-I don't know about all of you, but I'm super pumped to try climbing an
8,000 meter mountain someday!  If you ever find a cool video, read a neat
story, or anything like that related to climbing or mountaineering, feel
free to send it to me or bring it up at the next meeting and we'll work into
the club meeting so that everyone can see it.

This didn't come up at the meeting, but it would fantastic if I could get a
volunteer to get our club t-shirts ordered.  They would need to find a store
that would print them (we have a design all drawn up), make a list of people
who want one, make the order, and coordinate with the store to get them made
and delivered.  The club will of course be paying for the cost of printing
the t-shirts, and will be selling them to club members for probably around
$10, depending on printing costs.  If anyone is interested in volunteering
to take care of this, please let me know.  I would greatly appreciate it!
