I work for Southwoods, a private residential summer camp in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. We are looking for a fun, outgoing, energetic student to help run our Climbing/High Ropes program this summer. It is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is excited to share their knowledge of climbing with children. All applicants should have some experience instructing in climbing and/or working with children. The children that they will be working with are ages 7-14 and range in skill from beginner to advanced. Southwoods is an amazing place to work, especially when it comes to giving our children an outlet for athletics. We are a traditional summer camp that offers a wide range of athletic instruction. Benefits include: competitive camp salary, room and board, laundry, travel opportunities (minutes away from many of the high peaks) and more experience teaching climbing/ropes to keep their personal skills sharp. This person would be part of our TREK team and possibly have the opportunity to help lead off camp hiking, camping and caving trips as well.
